Xiaomi earlier this year took everyone by surprise when it launched the Poco F1 smartphone in India. The handset is currently the most affordable smartphone that runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The smartphone was launched in August and now it looks like its successor (or possibly a new variant) is all set to launch in the country tomorrow (December 25).
The news was confirmed not only by the Poco India’s official social handle but by Poco Global’s head and Xiaomi’s global vice president, Manu Kumar Jain.

It is not for sure what the ‘new POCO’ will bring onboard. It could either be the successor to the Poco F1, which might be tipped as Poco F2, or it could be a variant of the existing Poco F1 smartphone.
According to multiple reports online, Xiaomi could bring a new colour variant of the Poco F1 in India. The company launching a successor to Poco F1 is unlikely given that the F1 itself was launched roughly four months ago.
A tipster last month mentioned that the Poco F1 6GB+64GB & 6GB+128GB variants could arrive in Kevlar Back, a variant that is currently limited to 8GB RAM model. He even added that European markets will see it soon followed by the Indian market.
